Principal's Message

Dear Hillcrest Parents and Families,

“It takes a village to raise a child.” – African Proverb

At Hillcrest School, we believe that students thrive when schools, families, and communities work together. As your principal, I’m honored to be part of this village and excited for the year ahead.

Our goal is to help our students love learning and grow academically, socially, and emotionally. With around 300 students in grades K–2, we are proud to offer a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Our academic foundation is built on trusted, research-based programs. Students develop strong literacy skills through Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) and deepen their math understanding with Ready Classroom Math. In addition to core subjects, students enjoy physical education, science, art, music, and media.

We also focus on the whole child through monthly themes centered on social-emotional learning, growth mindset, and character. These themes, like empathy, perseverance, and kindness, help our students build confidence and important life skills.

Partnership with families is key to our success. We are incredibly grateful for our supportive Home and School Association, whose efforts bring valuable events and opportunities to our school community.
